The novel Chasing Mercury is in part written to encourage people to understand and learn about Science -- helping improve the moral capacity to monitor and create the safest options for technology. The movie Hidden Figures is set in the time of the Mercury Space Mission. It is specifically about the contribution of African American women mathematicians.  and is actually hilarious and and biographical. ( I saw it in preview at MVFF39.) This film  needs support on Xmas day for it’s limited release - making it Oscar eligible—  On Christmas Day September will be at the AMC Metreon were there  16 showings.
