Earlier this month it was my profound pleasure to attend the UAW Women’s Conference held annually in Black Lake, MI at the UAW Family and Educational Conference Center. I was a delegate representing the National Writers Union. The center is named after Walter and Mae Reuther. I remember when the couple and the architect of the center were killed under suspicious circumstances— that is at the alternator had been tampered with.
