Two young men at the Goodman's Ace Hardware were also spotted with copies today. IF you have a Chasing Mercury spotting or are traveling with Chasing Mercury - please send me a photo!
Read MoreThis project is directly related to themes in Chasing Mercury. I can't begin to express the admiration I have for the founder/executive director of the Performing Stars Youth Program -- Felecia Gaston. She is truly a woman who knows "What plot of ground she has been given to till," As Ralph Waldo Emerson would say. And thanks to my dear friend Ola Bonds for flagging Performing Stars and it's director. PS is onto a new venture after taking children on driving tours across the USA to historically significant sights of contribution to the world of African American figure the program's right place is being honored. Performing Stars' youth ( http://performingstars.org) from Marin City are invited to attend the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and Legacy Museum From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama.

Read MoreI can't actually remember when I fell in love with sculpture. I was very young. It was either seeing "The Thinker" by Rodin on Dobbie Gilles ( a 1960s sit com.) Any way, I've often visited one of the "Thinkers" at the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco. I was delighted when my son chose Sculpture as his major in college. Is sculpture practical? No... but it is it important. Infact there is an entire scene in front of Victor Hugo and his Muse in the Weighing Lead the second book in the Chasing Mercury Toxic Trilogy.

Read MoreWriter-director Guillermo del Toro’s film, THE SHAPE OF WATER (2017), screened at the Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF40) this past October. Sadly I was unable to make that screening. I was barely back from Geneva having attended the Minamata Convention on Mercury first conference of the signatories of that treaty. Much of my work over the past year has been focused on writing and publishing the novel Chasing Mercury—a cross cultural-romance-suspense-memoir about mercury poisoning, and the coalition of outrageous marginalized characters it bands together. THE SHAPE OF WATER had covered all my basis and so many more. This film sprang from Guillermo del Toro’s mind, like Athena from Zeus, making me stand up and salute.

Read MoreThere may be some bumps in availability of Chasing Mercury over the next three days but it will be short term. Many of you know that my McMillan/Pronoun book seller is shutting down its ebook platform. It's a long story but I am now forced to distribute Chasing Mercury to Amazon, only through Amazon -- instead of a third party book seller. In the process I had to remove all the sales material and advertising and re-enter it with a new ISBN and ASIN -- same book different ID numbers. In that process many of the links on Amazon using the earlier ISBN/ASIN no longer get you to Chasing Mercury -- just look again for the new one.
